On election night, I watched Blacklist and then a movie called “Nobody” until about 11:30 before I turned to the election results. At 1:22 CDT Trump declared himself the winner, and several TV stations later confirmed the win. Fox News was one of the first.
If you’ve read any of my blogs, you know that I’m a right-winger. So, I breathed a huge sigh of relief. I woke up my wife to tell her the news. I won’t bore you with the details of why I was thrilled. I’ll just say that his first term was one of peace and prosperity until Covid broke out.
I won’t rub this in because Democrats are now suffering enough. But I will say this: Kamala Harris was not fit to be president. She’s a vapid, vacuous empty pantsuit who changed her positions more times than Joe Biden changed his diapers.
I’ll bet you, Democrats, if you're honest, will be glad he won, too. The economy will roar, inflation will come down, mortgage rates will fall, and America will once again be as strong and respected throughout the world.
It’s already happening. China's President Xi Jinping congratulated Trump on his presidential win and urged both nations to find the "right way to get along” and added that the international community would expect the two powers to "respect each other and co-exist peacefully."
Meanwhile, Hamas called for an end to the war in the Middle East and the Iran backed Houthis announced a ceasefire. Moreover, Vladimir Putin said he’s ready to work toward peace.
And on the Homefront: New York City Mayor Eric Adams announced that he is not renewing a controversial—and expensive—food voucher program that provided debit cards for migrant asylum seekers.
And that just two days after Trump won. And he’s not even president yet. That’s a hell of a start.
