Donald Trump didn’t just win the 2024 election. He added fuel to a movement, a cultural earthquake that began in his first term. He may not have received the landslide victory of Ronald Reagan, but his proposals were overwhelmingly approved by voters.
He pledged to shut down our borders, deport illegal immigrants, back law enforcement reduce crime, and tame inflation. He promised to slash government and its administrative state, terminate racial and gender identity politics, (Diversity, Equality and Inclusion), and reinstate deterrence abroad.
Trump wants to reform the Pentagon -- ending DEI Pentagon overlords and revolving-door corporate generalship. He vowed to hold the 4-star class responsible for the catastrophe in Afghanistan and to reenlist soldiers who were driven out due to draconian vaccination mandates or woke intolerance.
And that message resounded with true Americans.
Like me, most Americans were fed up with being looked down upon by the so-called elites. We’re tired of being called Nazis, racists, xenophobes, homophobes, and bigots by media, academic, bureaucratic, and political royalty.
In other words, you’re not nuts to believe there are only two genders, be forced to buy an electric vehicle, be prohibited from using natural gas stoves, or submit to racial or gender indoctrination sessions. You’re not bonkers if you think men shouldn’t play women’s sports or that parents who protest what’s being done in public schools should be considered “domestic terrorists.”
He’ll make sure every government agency is evaluated and reformed. That is particularly true of the Department of Justice and the Department of Homeland Security. The FBI chief should be axed immediately, and Alejandro Mayorkas should be sentenced to life in prison. DOJ head Merritt Garland should be deported to Haiti.
He activated a cultural revolution. Every day people clutched to his ideas. They’re not embarrassed to show their support for him. He walks into a football or baseball or UFC stadium and cheers of “Trump. Trump, Trump” and “USA, USA, USA” resonate.
Athletes of all races are no longer taking a knee in protest of America's supposed systemic racism during the national anthem. Sometimes they celebrate their scoring by doing the honorific “Trump dance.” This is a historic counterrevolution after Trump's victory.
The country will no longer apologize for its past or present but can move on -- content that it need not be perfect to be better than all the alternatives.
The time of changing pronouns, renaming classic landmarks, statue tumbling, ravaging the dead, vandalizing campus libraries, or spouting antisemitic toxic is facing.
His “promises made, promises kept” is his hand-over-heart slogan. I think he’ll do it. For the benefit of all of us. He’d better! The 2026 congressional election isn’t that far away.
